Natural gas

Natural gas is a non-renewable fossil energy source formed deep beneath the Earth’s surface. Natural gas contains many different compounds, the largest component is methane. Natural gas is sometimes informally referred to as simply “gas”.

Net-zero carbon emissions

The amount of CO2 released is balanced with an equivalent amount of carbon removal, for example by restoring forests or through direct air capture and storage. The concept of CO2 neutral is similar to “CO2 neutral” or “climate neutral”.
